Technology Rollout/Refresh

Core Technology Solutions (CTS) has successfully completed hundreds of individual project rollouts encompassing thousands of devices in thousands of locations across North America. In addition to a broad spectrum of technology products, CTS fully manages all logistical aspects of the deployment and ensures functionality to the complete satisfaction of our clients. Some examples of recently completed projects are listed below.

Desktop Upgrade - CTS was engaged to replace 1,200 Dell desktop PCs at nine campus locations across the U.S. for a prominent financial services company. Over two months CTS imaged and customized each new PC to individual user specifications, and all user data transferred to the new units. CTS technicians provided support and user orientation throughout the project.

Point of Sale (POS) Upgrade - As part of a chain wide refresh for a "big box" retailer, CTS visited 800 store locations and replaced over 8,000 CPU units at the POS stations. Also, as part of the project all existing peripherals and cabling were inspected, and if necessary repaired or replaced.

Desktop O/S Upgrade - CTS was engaged to visit over 2,600 offices for one of the largest insurance companies in the nation to perform and operating system upgrade to Windows XP for local agents and their staff. The engagement, completed in six months, included end user training, and support.

WAN Upgrade - Working directly for a large "big box" retailer, CTS configured and deployed over 500 new Cisco routers to store locations utilizing proprietary automation software to both configure new devices as well as upgrading existing routers already in the field. The automation software suite known as SWiFT allows for error free automated custom configuration and testing of networking devices in either the field or a central configuration center.

Wireless Network Installations - CTS is aligned with Symbol Technologies largest re-seller, and has performed hundreds of installations at both "big box" and specialty retailers across North America. Full turnkey services from cabling through to handheld device configuration and testing are provided.
